Tango crash:

In 1987 Daniel Almada and Martín Iannaccone were already experimenting on electronic music but quite far away from tango. In 2001 by means of the Internet, they resumed the project, with Daniel Almada living in Basel/Switzerland and Martín Iannaccone still in Buenos Aires. This time the starting point had to be tango, the music that identified  them as Argentinian. When Iannaccone moved to Berlin the same year, everything was ready to expand the "Tango Crash" project beyond a creative help from digital means.

Their album "Tango Crash" (Galileo MC, 2003) soon became an inevitable point of reference for electronic tango: basically far away from tango-chill, the music from Tango Crash has always required a careful listening and is based more on traditional concepts of composition than on the mere ensambling of beats and electronic elements. The strength of their live shows has made then win the RUTH award for novel artists; as such they have been invited to take part in the Rudolstat festival in Germany, one of the most important European festivals.
